How this works. Claims are pulled from public RSS feeds of the Federal Reserve, BEA, EIA, CNBC, NPR, NYT, Yahoo Finance and Fox Business. Every quote here was verified as literal text from the original article before it was stored — nothing is paraphrased into quotation marks. Each claim is matched to a specific published series and judged only against readings that cover the same period and measure the same quantity. A claim we can't match to a series is marked UNVERIFIABLE, never guessed at. Sources are always linked.
